(OFFSHORENO) The Transocean rig will soon end its contract and will therefore be placed in storage.

They plan to leave the rig unmanned, but with oversight from the rig company itself or contracted personnel. To be on the safe side they have made queries from NCA if there are requirements for staffing when the rig is anchored.

They also outlines a safety zone around the rig at 500 meters.

The earliest arrival date to anchor will be around August 1st this year, the company said in a request to the NCA.

The rig is currently on a short contract with Edison, after which the rig will be freed.
