(OFFSHORENO) Semco Maritime has been awarded the contract for preparation of Songa Equinox when the rig arrives at Norway.

The mission is conducted in Hanoytangen and executed with close cooperation with PSW Group.

This is the first of the four CAT D-rigs Songa is building for Statoil and this is potentially the first job of a total of four. The agreement also includes options for the next three rigs.

The contract awarded Semco just half months after they bought the shipyard facilities on Askoy.

Semco Maritime is the prime contractor and PSW Group is a provider of services at drilling- and subsea equipment.

This week marks the delivery of Songa Songa Equinox and third party equipment to be installed on board before going to Norway.

It is expected that the rig is in place sometime between late September and mid-October.

When the rig is going to Norway to the words through final clarification on Hanoytangen before heading to Troll for first assignment.
