At the Mobile World Congress last year, Lenovo was announced that it is one of the new Windows Phone Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). However, until so far, we have not seen any Windows Phone devices from them.

Today, Terry Myerson from Microsoft has announced the commitment of Lenovo to Windows Phone platform. They will be releasing their first Windows Phone device mid-year of 2015. China Mobile, the largest telecommunications service provider in China, will be the launch partner.

To date, there is no information on whether Lenovo will bring its first Windows Phone outside of China market.

Handset specifications can be expected to be of mid-range performance, running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 and 600 main processor and with screen size of 4.5 to 5 inch.
