Amazon’s X-Ray features helps to retrieve instant data information of actors, cast, musical soundtrack and other information while streaming video on your kindle devices. Its really a life saver, especially when you need to get information in seconds.
This features have been reported to be migrating to other services, Amazon have decide that bring it to their latest Fire TV and Fire TV Stick streaming devices.
Peter Larsen, Vice President of Amazon Devices, explained the appeal. “We’ve all been there: you’re sitting on the couch, watching a favorite movie or TV show, and a familiar face enters the scene – but you can’t for the life of you remember who he is, or what other movies he’s been in,” he said. “X-Ray solves this – it integrates the vast database of IMDB right into the viewing experience.”
Amazon says an over-the-air update rolling out to Fire TV and Fire TV Stick units will enable X-Ray by end of day. As for now you will still need to rely on web browser or IMDB apps to get the data information about the movie, series your watching right now.
